Carmel is blessed with a wide array of fine writers, and many have shared their work with you in our newspaper. If you have a topic that you believe will make our readers healthier, wealthier and/or wiser, will be meaningful and useful and will tell our community something they don’t already know, pitch it to our managing editor, Jim Lindgren. It will be given every consideration.

We like high-resolution (big) photos of everything from community events and people to even shots from your family vacations. If you believe it will be of interest to others, and if it is in focus and you can provide accurate identification of the subject matter, please send it to our managing editor, Jim Lindgren. (And if we borrow a hard-copy photo, we will return it if you provide us a self-addressed envelope.)

DEADLINES! DEADLINES!

Current in Carmel is delivered to every household in Carmel each Tuesday by the U.S. Postal Service. Coincidentally, our deadlines are Tuesdays ?as in the week before each edition ?by 5 p.m. (Of course, if you’re running a little late, we’ll make every effort to accommodate you. Just call ahead and warn us at 317.489.4444. If you turn everything over to us on time or early, we’ll sing your praises ?maybe a little off-key, but we’ll be singing them nonetheless.)
